(WoW) Decisions
I happily milled herbs collected the last week or so with my warlock doing inscription yesterday, and made three Darkmoon cards, since I had materials. What I didn't expect was getting an Ace of Nobles, which finished out a Nobles Deck. This gets traded in to the Darkmoon Faire for a Darkmoon Card: Greatness trinket that's pretty good for most characters in some way.
Depending on which version is chosen, the trinket gives +90 to Strength, Intellect, Agility, or Spirit. Any of the four versions has a chance to proc a temporary +300 bonus to whichever of those four traits is highest on the character.
My first one went to Sashayla, with the Strength version. That doesn't do a whole lot for a tank - it's more damage blocked on a block, and it's more damage done, but it doesn't increase survivability much - but it's probably one of the best trinkets I could hope for when she's playing DPS, as Retribution paladins get most advantage from Strength.
So now I have a second deck, and I'm not sure what to do with it. I could sell it for a fair chunk of gold (probably 4000-5000), but I'd sorta rather see it upgrade someone in the guild. Our first thought was Ajeya, who's usually healing our asses in heroics these days, but comparison shows it's probably not much, if any, of an upgrade for her.
There's been some suggestion for Demaintrond, our guild leader's warrior tank, taking the +Agi version, but I'm not seeing huge benefit there. At level 80, the agility would only grant about .9% increased dodge chance, and the proc would almost certainly hit Strength on him (which, again is some more damage/block value during that time). That's not much benefit comparing to a Valor Medal (emblem of heroism trinket) that grants around 2.1% dodge with a use effect that grants another 8.5% temporarily. It's something, but I'd rather not use a trinket worth that much as a "filler" item.
It seems to me, several of the guild's DPS character would benefit more and get longer use out of it. But then there's the question of which. If our druid tank had not been absent these last few months, she'd be my pick. Our fourth spot in heroic runs is usually filled by one player, but with one of three or four of their characters at any given time. Most of those characters could probably benefit, some more than others, but should we give resources like that when there's a one-in-four chance (plus or minus) it'll matter in a given run. Our fifth spot varies depending on who else is online. So... I'm torn.
Give it to a character who benefits the most? Give it to a character who is most frequently involved? Just sell the thing and be done with it? Ideally, I'd like to see a balance between the first two points, but there's not a clear answer who that is. And I suppose since this is almost exclusively from my efforts, I have the final say, but I still feel I want my guildmates to have some say and see some benefit. Even if I end up selling it, I may drop some of the proceeds into the guild bank.
Aiiieeee. Loot drama!
Edit: Bleh. After pondering it on and off today, I think I'm just gonna sell it and go from there. I wish there were a clear choice for upgrade that would use it regularly, but there really isn't. If it sells, this way I can make money back that I'd sunk into the profession and I can still push some to the guild.

Go ahead and sell it, hon. I'm sorry I haven't been around much. The last several weeks, though, have been horrid, iRL... With Kitten's Injuries, the Heat Wave, and such... Yeah... Really sucked...
