Rambling Updates
We watched the new Harry Potter movie Sunday. It was pretty good. I probably wouldn't be my favorite of the bunch, but I'd have to watch them all again to decide on one. I can't help but think there should be a crap-ton more warding and spell shielding in what is basically a high school where love potions and death curses are real, and you'd think giving away a luck potion would be cause for expulsion from staff, but nooo. The movie (I haven't read the books, still) doesn't explain the "Half-Blood Prince" title, though it is revealed to whom it refers. I'd expect some meaning there...
Luna is a character who amuses me muchly, in spite of being second-(or third-)tier to the story at best. She comes across as eccentric/off-kilter, but cute and nice. I have the feeling this is sorta what one fellow player goes for with their characters, yet they always end up so far out there that we have to try for extra suspension of disbelief and suck up their weirdness in order to play together because we're all PCs - a very metagame thing. 90% of these character, I (and my characters) probably wouldn't associate with if the game didn't sort of require it.
A weekend of bad scheduling for WoW, for the most part. In the end, I decided to go fumble through some "Old World" dungeons/raids to finish out the Classic Dungeonmaster achievement on my paladin, though more for the sake of having done so than for points. I admit, I saw some places/bosses I never have before.
With a recently-acquired signet in Guild Wars, my ritualist actually feels like a "master of spirits" more than previous. I don't know that's much of a role, but I guess it works.
I'm still keeping loose tabs on the New Creation TP on Furryfaire. Heh. It's almost a divine "Survivor Nimby" - which sounds like a silly name for a world to me. I still don't really like/buy the explanation behind it, but ah well. A new vote to reduce voting time if certain conditions are met has me thinking a lot about metagaming, which may be a post of its own at some point.
Today's been a pain in the tail at work. Some things were deleted this morning that shouldn't have been, causing problems that only cropped up about the time I got in. So while there was chaos this afternoon, I'm also stuck moving massive files around tonight in order to try to get the databases working as they should again.

Still haven't seen Half-Blood Prince yet, myself. For the New World TP on FFa... I still think the world should be called Zebes. Those familiar with Metroid will get the reference and, I think, understand my reasoning. I personally am seriously considering dropping out of the TP, still... There's still WAY too much going on in the way of ego-clashes...
