A Case of the Tuesdays
Ugh. Headache. Printer problems. Such a fun, fun morning.
Edit: And for lunch, I got to drop much truck off to have a screw removed from a tire, and that patched up. @whee!
Statuses... Statii?
Guild Wars
So we officially finished Prophecies (the core campaign) Sunday. The twist in the opposition wasn't surprising to me, since I'd looked up previously where I could get the Hundred Blades skill (back when I was playing a warrior). It was kind of neat to end up in a room with most major figures from the campaign congratulating us, but otherwise didn't seem that impressive. I expected more from what is apparently the last cut scene in the game than the party getting on a ship to leave the hellish island upon which they had fought the last few missions. At least they give you your choice of a pretty good selection of uniques for beating the campaign.
So it looks like we'll be starting in on Factions, and with new characters to boot. I have to say, I was used to playing a paragon, and it looks like a ritualist will play differently - heavier on the support.
World of Warcraft
Runs here and there, though not actually much productivity over the weekend. I've finished most of my reputation grinds for Northrend with my two level 80 characters. Both want more Kirin Tor rep, but I can't get that solo very well. We did get in a Halls of Lightning run last night - much, much cleaner than the trying heroic attempt we had a few weeks ago. In fact, no deaths at all this time.
I put Reya through Wintergrasp a few times, which can be annoying, laggy, or downright fun depending on how many people there are and what all happens. I may follow Kyn's example to scrape my way through marks there for epic headwear. I'm also starting to look into how to make her a real healer (which shadow spec is not). Strangely, her gear seems decent and is usually healer-oriented when I have a choice, yet she seems to be rather lacking in Spirit compared to examples I've seen. Hmm...
Sasha, meanwhile, has her epic fishing pole and a skill over 400. I never thought I'd see that day. It's something to do when things are quiet, though, and some fish actually sell pretty well.
I'd rather like people to be a little more active on the guild page/forums. I was a little surprised when someone asked on guild chat what a "tank" was. That led to explanation of party roles, and makes me feel there's room for educating guildmates. I'm no theorycrafting expert, but I do study what I involve myself in and I make an effort to pass on what I learn when I can. There's been a little amusement that I gave a recently-turned-level-80 paladin some web articles to read as "homework" for becoming a tanking paladin.

Jerec's placed in charge of hunting out necromantic cultists in other nations? O.o What the heck? As a Peacekeeper, he sees himself as police, while this job is more CIA. He also has a great resource pool of personnel for this little objective. It's suggested the (probably overpowered) Sister of the Blade and his prone-to-kill-them-all-mentality cousin go into Shademire to look - which sounds like an act of war waiting to happen - while he takes a non-morphic bird with energy attacks (who said she'd likely be of little use) to play non-diplomat in Rath Sliabh Dorca. And there's the Joshuite who said little and excused himself from going to either place it sounded like. This doesn't seem like playing to strengths to me, it just sounds like a mess.
Shadowrun
There may be some virtual shooting of things tonight, as the group assaults a building housing a bunch of HMHVV-infected vampires and similar. Last week went painfully slowly. Hopefully this session will pick up a little... though it may also be the first real test of how much combat slows things down (as opposed to the fight at the convenience store, in which we had numbers to end it pretty quick).
