Another Night
So... Selina was present, and got caught up on the status of the "slain" trio. There was some mostly-light discussion in a session that took probably less than an hour in-character time. Kashim still isn't up and about, as they have ot fish his soul out of the Lion's sword first, but he should be soon.
Faced with a push to clean the local shadowland and move on as soon as possible, Alexi adjourned to the local manse to meditate and recharge. Naga, predictably, followed along. The two talked a little about the fight, the future, the past, and the present... but it doesn't strike me as anything real notable other than the observation Alexandra made to Naga's suggestion that time be taken to catch breath and such: this group goes stir-crazy if they have down time.
I don't think Alexandra has realized it yet, but I am somewhat bothered by what I see. This is certainly not the first time that the Circle has had a minor break and she has spent it sleeping/meditating/recharging for what's to come. That's practical and prudent in some ways, especially when the limiting factor on how fast things get done is her essence pool as she's the only one who can cast the spell to heal shadowlands.
But what she wants to do deep down (and perhaps should be doing), is to interact more with "her" Circle. She really hasn't had the opportunity to get to know more than about half of the individuals well. Selina has missed out on a lot of the "just RP" sessions, it seems like. Vee is new (and a little difficulty to talk to). Kujath (and previously Auric) is a little difficult to really get close to in any way because Naga always wants to shadow Alexi and, presumably, prevent any "physical" bonding.
So instead we have scene where the "leader" of the group is absent or distant. And while she's usually doing it to be ready for a big fight/spell/whatever and she's not aloof about it, that still doesn't seem a good thing.
The best part was being told that even if Naga wasn't there physically, he knew everything anyway because he had his fingers on the strands of Fate on the Loom directly governing Alex.
ReplyDeleteWhich is enough to disturb conspiracy theorists anywhere. Though, technically, he's been unable to do so since entering Autochthon(ia) and I think that's completely out of his abilties while he's an alchemical exalt.
ReplyDeleteOnly a matter of time before he petitions his Maiden to get back into his 'old self'. Beh. Idly wonder why I keep bringing up my thoughts on public forum anyway.
ReplyDeleteLet's bond, baby. Meow. ;) And... it hasn't been 'a lot', has it? I think sessions that would have been something else turned into "just RP" because I wasn't there. :(
ReplyDeleteHe can't petition the Maidens. He's got zero influence in Yu-Shan at this point. The Maidens won't listen to him.
