That's how things seem to be as far as the condo. I'm waiting to hear back about a couple minor requests made in regards to the inspection ($250 credit - the estimated cost to put venting in the attic, and window screens - we found one of three going through the house). Beyond that, it's out of my hands at the moment. The timing is largely up to the bank and realtors now as things are put into place. Everything looks good, but I won't be completely at ease as far as that goes until after the closing.
At home, on the other hand, things seem to be going downhill. After a hellish weekend of cleaning, Susan has pressed on. She had said "we'll see about listing the house Saturday," but has already talked with realtors. There's a lock box outside and people could stop by to view the house at virtually any time. I've been warned to limit use of the stove, and we're not using the dishwasher any more. It's getting quite annoying, and I almost expect to come home to hear "Oh, and could you not use the bathroom any?" Feh. Best case scenario still has me living there for another three-and-a-half weeks... if you can call this living. I already lack a place to set up my TV in the small bedroom I'm stuck in. Cripes. Would it have killed her to wait a couple weeks? It's already a pet peeve of mine when people plan based on the best possible outcome, but this is insane. And with my dad already living in Cortez, I feel there's no balance to her 'get things done now' attitude.
Seriously, there's something wrong when you work an eleven-hour day and still feel no real desire to come home. I'm often frustrated at work, yet it's starting to become a sanctuary. Feh.
So... I won't be hosting any gaming for the next several weeks. Nina's mom has barred us from the garage there because we may "let mosquitoes in." I'm not sure there will be any RL roleplaying for a while at this rate. And lately I've been half-asleep by the time I get online in the evenings. I wish I could just fast-forward my life about a month and get on with things.

Whoo, that is lousy. Why no stove or dishwasher use, anyway? That doesn't make a lot of sense. And planning for the best possible outcome is just plain stupid. If I thought that way, I'd have quit my job to go to school... before finding out that my application was rejected. Jeez, I hope you guys can move in there real soon and have that B.S. over with. (To be replaced with the problems involved with living on your own, but hey.)
ReplyDeleteThe stove and dishwasher restriction is because they've been cleaned. And heaven forbid they're in any way dirty when someone comes to look at the house.
