Leaves are falling and the weather is cool, but not cold. It definitely feels like autumn.
I look forward to the end of the election season, though there's no telling how that'll all shake out in the end. For a time, I considered third-party presidential candidates, but I reached a conclusion much akin to John Oliver's assessment.
WoW goes on. I still am enjoying Legion overall. I've spent some time playing alts over the last week or two as well. My main is sitting pretty comfortably awaiting company to delve into heroics and/or mythics at some point, though relatively few guild regulars are there yet.
7.1 is set to be released next week - I'm pretty surprised by how fast that feels. They did announce is pretty early on, and I don't want to turn away content, but that's still pretty early in Legion's life cycle. I'm curious to see what's there, but with the Karazhan dungeon being mythic+ difficulty, it may be a while before I get to see any of that.
GW2 is. Still doing guild missions fairly regularly and occasionally managing to meet up and do some quest assistance for others, though it'll all be a retread for me until I hit Mordremoth. I "should" get out and track down more expansion mastery points, as I've managed to acquire enough XP to burn through all those learning skills. It seems like most are from the later maps of the initial expansion that feel... less lively than they did closer to release, making it harder to get stuff done.
I've taking to occasionally watching episodes of the anime Monster. I suppose it's a psychological drama for the most part, revolving around a young man who may be evil and a doctor mistakenly blamed for several murders who is trying to do what he thinks right. There are some interesting aspects. It's a lot longer than I would expect such a series to run. It also gets pretty meander-y, following multiple side characters here and there along the way. Oddly, the thing that strikes me most about it is how the general feel and pacing remind me of TV shows from the 70s/80s - the initial arcs made me think about the Incredible Hulk series, with Banner wandering in search of an answer, helping locals, and moving on. I'm not sure the payoff at the end can really be worth the journey, but the journey itself has been okay.
I was enterprising enough to replace my dishwasher. Whee. That was a lot more work than I expected, but also more agonizing than necessary as I was looking at the wrong part as the drain water outlet. Feh. Those installation manuals really need a more comprehensive view for diagramming rather than just a close up of one part in absence of anything else.
Next, possibly replacing my range. That one scare me a little more, as there's probably some direct electrical wiring involved. Plus, major appliances ain't cheap, of course.
In Sunday nights' D&D game, our group of airship adventurers have been in an ice swamp for a while. Decidedly unpleasant. Constantly outnumbered. And really wishing we had a mage to fight back against magic. Ooof. Still, we're hanging on and pressing forward, though we're reaching a point of questioning whether it's profitable to do so.
