So Much to Do...
... so little ability to do any of it.
Every mood at state of me at present is laid over a bubbling morass of frustration at work. We've got several things, large and small, going on right now or looming, yet I can't seem to accomplish anything.
Some items, my supervisor/co-tech has taken on himself, so I don't even know if any progress has been made until we cross paths in the afternoon and he fills me in (usually the answer is "no").
Five weeks later, I have not been able to get anyone at the phone company to return any of my many messages. I've waded through menus and call centers, been referred to three different salespeople, and only managed to talk directly to someone who seemed able to help me once. But he never followed up and no one since has even talked to me.
(Edit: Holy crap. As I was writing this, I actually got called back from the latest salesperson, who apologized for having been out for training remotely for the last few weeks. So... that's something, at least.)
I'm also waiting on responses from several people here on things small (replacing an iPad temporarily) to major (setting up an account for payment processing).
And I was handed a Macbook Pro which was having wifi connectivity issues, but after an attempt to reset its NVRAM/PRAM, it's not even starting now - which has been haunting me since yesterday.
Just... ugh... this is all very tiring. I don't mind big stuff to do so much if I can get it done. At least that's sort of rewarding.
