SWTOR
"There was a beta testing event over the weekend. I did participate." I think that's the official NDA line.
Without getting into details, I'll say there was some good and some not so good. It was not enough time to get very far into the game, but it was enough to gain a clearer understanding of how several aspects work. The experience has not radically altered my expectations of the game for better or worse.

But what about WoW and GW?! :D I do read your weekly updates.
ReplyDeleteWoW: Probably our best Firelands raid night yet. There was a little roster confusion at the beginning, but it worked out and while there was more chatter than usual during the raid it was all friendly - no drama. Made good time through our usual 6/7 bosses. Got in several practice attempts on Ragnaros and we seemed to make solid progress in getting to the second transition. If we can get that down, the final phase shouldn't be too tough. GW: On the up side, we made good progress by getting through three Winds of Change quests. That's awesome compared to the 1 or so we usually manage. Better still, we might actually be done with the afflicted-heavy portions and on to the Am Fah or whatever. The night included several of the things I "strongly dislike" about the game, but in thankfully small enough doses that it didn't leave me with a lingering bad mood over it. Though it's not among my pet peeves of the game, it's not a good thing that there's really no pointer toward the next part of the plotline - if I didn't know better from other sources, I'd think we were done.
