The Hulk article was hard to follow, but it had great points made in it. How to avoid writing "and then"s? *facefaults into keys a few times*
ReplyDeleteThe avoidance of "and then"s sort of follows the thinking that every scene/beat should be either 1) consequence or 2) complication of what has gone before. That way your scenes serve some purpose rather than being there just because.
