Election Day
I'd have to say I've become less idealistic over the years - and more jaded. No surprise there, really. I voted early last week out of convenience. But these days I find that I care less about candidates than issues. I probably should do more research beforehand, I'll admit, but politicians mostly blend together in my mind. Instead I'm eager to weigh in on bond issues and whatnot - usually local items.
Still... if you have the right to vote, you should exercise it.
Still... if you have the right to vote, you should exercise it.
Which is pretty much the opinion of most 'average' folk. They seem to be nebulous about their candidate for house and senate positions, (Even sometimes local county and city) but care a great deal about state and county laws. So how do these yahoos keep getting into office?
ReplyDeleteThe candidates are really all the same. They're all politicians, and career ones, usually. In my opinion, this should immediately disqualify them form any race, but ... The issues are what matter. The elected officials will do whatever they want regardless.
