... a July fourth afternoon. In a park (Buckley, for those of you who would know), there's a crowd of people and a sort of inflatable amphitheater. And playing music is a group of four twelve-year-olds. They're doing quite a good job, even - better than most recreational bands I've heard. Give them some original song writing and I wouldn't be surprised if they had a professional future in music.
Then they break into Bowling for Soup's "1985." I like the song, and it was played well, but there's something a bit wrong with hearing kids sing that when they weren't born for some nine years after.
Still... it was greatly entertaining.

That is hilarious. That is also the point that the cynical thirty year-old would deflate the stage. I guarantee that none of them have any idea what "shaking her ass on the hood of whitesnake's car" even refers to. Which is something that that same older, cynical self might scream about as their stage deflated around them, like the woman's dreams that they sang about...
