Of course, the layering is tricky sometimes. Anklets/bracers don't show from under the robes, but I found a few things to spruce the picture up with, including her bird-like anima aspect and some stock magical effects. Alas, they don't have purple-hued eyes, or sais to tuck into belts, but what can ya do? She still lacks any good titles or sobriquets, though I think she could lay claim to something "shadow"-related with her studying of Ebon Shadow Form and her pact with Five Days Darkness. Which all seems a little odd for those affiliated with the sun, but she's not the only one in the group.

Winter Wonderland

Still snowing on and off. Blar. Blar s'more. I haven't had to shovel a huge volume since Monday night, but there's always more to do when at home. I'm feeling pretty ragged and the week is just dragging on. It really feels like it should be later than Wednesday. On a lighter note: I don't know whether to be more jealous of the final product, the resources involved, or the "free time" required, but... http://gizmodo.com/346462/lego-master-completes-30-pound-star-wars-starship-model

Snow Day

... or part of the morning, at least. Having pushed out a 4-wheel-drive truck, and watched cars getting stuck in the parking lot, I've decided I'm not going anywhere, at least 'til it's plowed (and I dig out my truck afterward). In the last 24 hours, I've spent... between three and four shoveling snow. I'm tired, I'm sore, and it's still not enough. Ugh. So. Tired. Of. Winter.

Oof.

As expected, the effort of moving snow yesterday shows this morning. Ow. Our big battle with ye ol' baddies continued and concluded last night. Some highlights and lessons learned: The most combat-heavy individuals of both sides went at it and mutually went down. Kashim (wolf lunar exalt, rawr) laid into their heavily armored warrior, tearing him up good and even popping his head off. In retributive form, said warrior exploded and sent Kashim into the realm of the would-be-dead-but-regenerating-slowly before starting to reform. I'm unclear on the death knight's ability to get back up after that, as simply being stomped on and separated from his head seemed to finish him off with no more actual damage dealt to him (that I'm aware of). Alexandra shifted her attention to help with the enemy we knew - Tainted Whispers. Alexi and Auric kept her busy and battered, but were unable to get past a combo that allowed her to negate damage and regain essence. I'm not sure

Still Winter

So this morning, I rolled over and looked out my window, the sight causing the formulation of my first reasonably coherent thoughts of the morning: Fuck. Snow. As if watching people slide around the parking lot at home recently on the solid patches of ice and packed snow weren't bad enough, everything was deeply blanketed this morning. Thankfully, I later found it to be light powder, but I still spent a good hour and a half of my morning shoveling paths and digging out my truck. Grr. My back likes this not, though I suspect I won't truly feel the results until tomorrow. Some people are just random. And when one person in particular waves are me on the MUCK, I know the odds are good it's going to lead to something completely out of left field. So when I say I wasn't expecting to be asked "Do you think Jigsaw would be a follower of Mika?" you have to understand that I was expecting something unexpected. It took me a moment to track, but Jigsaw would be

Brrr. Cold outside, though that's all relative, I suppose. I'd personally like to see warmth enough to melt the roads clear, but what can you do? Life continues along. I've got slow preparations underway for going to Estrella War in about four weeks. I need to pull my my tent and check it over, though. It's strange to think, but this'll be the first time I've been camping out since I've moved. This becomes more apparent when I start realizing things like "I don't own a sleeping bag," though that particular detail was remedied at Christmas. I always had the benefit of access to outdoorsy parents' gear. Still comparing Guild Wars and WoW... slowly. I actually haven't had the chance to play much of either lately as it seems I'm either busy with other things or wiped. Our online Exalted game has been summed up reasonably already: http://kyn-elwynn.livejournal.com/73540.html?#cutid1 Overall, it's going well and everyone seem

Winter...

I'm tired of shoveling snow, and that with things having been fairly mild here compared to a lot of places. Of course, the wet snow that came in first was the worst. There've been power outages around the area (including at work on Sunday), but at home we've not had that problem. The most inconvenience on that front was the DSL being out for several hours due to power problems elsewhere. But the main roads really haven't been much worse than wet/slushy, and I've managed to get the truck out of the parking lot each day this week so far. I've now had the opportunity to read the story (probably a novella or something, considering the 160 pages) I am Legend . I'm going to have to say I found the movie more enjoyable, but they were decidedly different. The story is, perhaps, a more classic sort of horror in that it can easily be an allegory for other things. There's an obvious "old society" versus "new society" theme that develops. The a

Matters of Appearance

"You are entering a time of great promise and overdue rewards." - Fortune Cookie Somehow, I don't think that's connected, but it's amusing enough to mention anyway. No, mostly I feel the need to comment on other things. I picked up Guild Wars yesterday and started playing last night. It's a favor, it's a matter of giving the game another chance, it's an attempt to expand horizons maybe. So, naturally, I'm making comparisons to World of Warcraft. Visually, yeah, they're different. GW is a lot more into shiny detail while WoW is stylistically cartoonish. I'd even go so far as to grant GW as having "better" graphics, but I actually like WoW's style so they strike me as different without one being distinctly more enoyable than the other. Everyone wants their character to look unique, of course... Guild Wars : Choose class, gender, face, hair, skin tone... all there. You get starter gear based on your class, looking pretty
